I am am accountant with a CPA, CMA and CFM and was wondering if anyone had a similar background and if the preparation for these certifications helped passed CFA Levels 1, 2 and 3? |

I am a CPA and an attorney. The CPA will help on Level I. When I took the CFA exam, I found it to be more comprehensive and difficult than either the CPA exam or the bar exam. The CFA exam now includes more multiple choice, so that assessment may not be as accurate. |

Johnson...I am a CMA & CFM and I am preparing for Part I. I think taking and passing the CMA will help you for part 1 because the CMA exam covered the accounting and statistics portion of the CFA exam (although not as in-depth). I have been able to breeze thru the study materials in these areas relatively quickly because of my background. The CFM also helps with the corporate finance areas of the exam. Good to know that there is another CMA & CFM taking on this challenge. Good luck! |

I am happy to say that I passed! Your study notes certainly helped prepare me for what was the most difficult exam I had ever taken.
