Ok, just registered for L1 and would like to know what is the minimum amount of study material I need as I'm combining this course with an MSc in financial maths. Can I avoid the text books (if not which was are the absolute essential) and which study guide is the most effective. I'm also willing to buy any old material from past L1 candidates.
Many thanks. |

Buy cfacenter's notes and the Ethics textbook, they should be all you need. |

I reckon 250 hours that AIMR quote should be enough |

Deacon,
Have you passed Level I? I am struggling for the study now. I am writing my exam in December and found it's very hard to follow Schweser's notes to study. I have cfacenter's notes as well. but i found it's more condensed than Schweser's, however, it's easier to understand and follow. I need your advice on the strategies of studies. Thanks for your help in advance. |

I just wanted to share the good news that I passed CFA Level I!!! Thank you for your help - I think the online question bank helped cut the clutter and made a positive difference.
