Hi, everyone: Could anyone enlighten me as to the viability of a career in healthcare financial management with a CFA? I'm very interested in the field, but I'm unclear as to whether a CFA confers the expertise that healthcare financial employers are looking for. Any information would be helpful. Thanks! |

Aside from being something impressive to put on your resume, the CFA really won't help your career in heath care financial management. You would be much better off pursuing an MBA, possibly with a finance/accounting concentration. There are even some schools that offer a health care management concentration as part of their MBA program. |
