I am trying to make a career changing decision. I am currently employed in IT but don't plan to spend my time chasing after technologies that changes dramatically every six months - and employer sends you an early retirement package by the age of 50! I am at my early 40s now. I am very much interested in finance and investment, thus I am looking at working towards a CFA. But I don't know what is the job perspect/security/longetivity in the US market? On the other hand, my father-in-law is a CPA and he gets work without problem even he's almost 70! I prefer a job that enables me to work to 65 and I know CPA has job security. If I have to invest similar time and effort to get CFA or CPA, I'd like to know what the job prospect of a CFA is. Any insight and advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am happy to say that I passed! Your study notes certainly helped prepare me for what was the most difficult exam I had ever taken.
