i have an opportunity move to the finance team of the company i work at (currently in accounting). i went to school for finance 2 years ago, and i'm a bit rusty. I'm glad to finally have an opportunity to apply what i studied in college, but was wondering if anyone could recommend any books that would help refresh and walk me through the kind of processes someone in the role as a financial person would have in a company. I would be reporting direct to CFO & financial controller. I want to register for the CFA exam, but I've been told that is more for people who are going to be doing asset management or investments....

So my other question is, what is the CFA designation/certification ideal for? I don't have an mba, and i'm not sure if i should work on my CFA before obtaining an mba.....

sorry for the loaded question!! : )
