I have a first round interview coming up. this is the job desc. decent place to start of just total lackey? As Administrative Support in Equity Research, you will have an opportunity to work with the research management, equity analysts, associates, and other support staff. Responsibilities ? Provide a high level of administrative support ensuring quality service and professionalism ? Provide accurate, organized and efficient administrative support; collect and track data, research information, sort and distribute mail, balance and process expense reports, schedule and organize meetings, manage calendars, create and maintain files, and perform other administrative assignments as required ? Manage efficiently in a multi-tasked environment and ensure deadlines are met ? Provide reliable back-up as the electronic publisher for the research department ? Use software programs and other tools or equipment with ease and efficiency to provide documents/ information that effectively support the needs of the team ? Assist the Desktop Publishing/Editing group during peak periods ? Efficiently manage and promptly respond to all incoming enquiries/requests for information independently or re-direct to the appropriate person/area ? Ensure the optimal level of customer service and professionalism is provided ? Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate ? Prioritize and manage own workflow to ensure quality and efficiency (ie. meet deadlines; be flexible in adjusting to changing work priorities) ? Take initiative to identify and recommend improvements in own job function, research and/or investigate issues requiring resolution in order to execute on assigned tasks ? Other duties as assigned Qualifications ? Proficient in the use of all software Microsoft Office programs and/or other tools or equipment (PageMaker knowledge would be an asset). ? An eye for detail and the ability to accurately proof read research documents/publications ? Ability to efficiently manage expectations/concerns through strong communication skills, both verbal and written ? Demonstrates a proactive approach ; takes initiative and works with minimal supervision ? Strong work ethic, ability to take initiative and balance multiple tasks ? Technology Service orientation and professional at all times ? Industry experience and interest considered an asset Educational Assets ? Undergraduate degree considered a definite asset ? Canadian Securities Course would be beneficial |
