Hi all, This is my first post here and I am impressed with the quality and amount of information available here. I have a tech/engineering background and I am taking the Level 1 10 exam, but I only started preparing for it today - March 29th 2010. I have only two months to go and am trying to figure out the best way to cover all the material. I know the recommended time for preparation is 4 months, but I was late to register for the exam and to decide about taking it. I would appreciate if folks could share some tips/suggestions for my study plan and which topics to focus more on and things like that. Thanks in advance. (Future)FinanceGuru |

Do you have ANY finance/accounting/economics in your background? I hate to say it, but if you're starting from scratch you have a monumental challenge ahead. |

you need to up the hours if you want to hit the recommended 250...which I don't think is close to enough for adequate prep and I was an Econ major. if you don't pass in June, at least you will have a good idea of what you need to do for Dec. AnalystNotes site seems decent, but the CFAI readings are extremely long, you definitely need a study guide of some sort. practice questions are key. |

If I were you I would reschedule for December. You may want to talk to the AnalystNotes team about reentering your membership here for the December exam instead. |

I was very pleased with your notes and question bank. I especially like the mock exams because it helped to pull everything together.
