First post here, so if this question has been asked a million please post a link with its answer. Thanks. I'm wondering if anybody knows how to do variance calculations using the HP 12c when you are given various probabilities (and thus need to calculate out expected value/probability-weighted mean, which you then need to use to sum up the squared differences)? To be clear, I don't have any problem getting the hp 12c to calculate the arithmetic mean, variance, and standard deviation from a data set for both population and sample sets. However, when there are probabilities involved, i can do the long hand. which is tedious, to get the variance, etc., but I do not know how to get the hp 12c to spit it out quickly and conveniently. Can anybody help? tyia |

I passed! I did not get a chance to tell you before the exam - but your site was excellent. I will definitely take it next year for Level II.
