Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked before but I'm getting a bit paranoid & need to find out for sure.

I am a French (EU) passport holder living in London & am sitting for the CFA level 1 on 1st December.

I am taking a holiday to India right after that & gave my passport + application to the Indian embassy about 2-weeks ago, under the impression that I would definitely get it back before the exam day. However, they contacted me today telling me that I wont be getting my passport back for "up to" 3-weeks.

This situation is rather dire for me as on the CFA website it is stated that only a passport will be accepted as proof of ID. Is there any work around to this? I have a valid EU drivers licence, valid EU ID & passport scans.

What do you propose I should do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Ducky

I think you better contact CFA Institute and let them know your situation since I don't think that you are allowed to enter the exam room without a passport. Wish you all the best

I might be having the same problem for June 2017. Can you please tell me what you ended up doing? What did you show to enter the exam hall?

I am using your study notes and I know of at least 5 other friends of mine who used it and passed the exam last Dec. Keep up your great work!
