I recently attended a presentation from a member of the Council of Examiners, the people who are really in charge to the test. One thing he mentioned was that the highest score on the June 2009 level one exam was 232 out of 240 - and no one has ever aced any level of CFA exam. So don't worry if you miss some questions. Also, no one has ever failed who has gotten 70% of the questions right, and there is no minimum in each subject. Of course, he also went on to state that anyone sitting for any level of June 2009 should have already read all of the readings, which is a little nuts. |

It's all a big mistery on how they grade the exam. What I know for sure is the same thing that guy told you. If you get 70% you're in the money, but it's not so easy. As a matter of fact, it's quite hard. If you get below 60%, I've heard you´re automatically out. Between 60% and 70% it´s the gray zone and you've better have done well on the ethics part. |
