I have just got a traineeship in a major bank in my country. Theoretically having the choice of elect among the following industries, which one could be more valuable in terms of career development?

- Financial Institutions
- Energy
- Telecoms
- Retail
- Real Estate

although likely indifferent referring to an eventual movement to IM, which of those could be a bit more worthy? or, at least tell me that this case (from ER to IM) is commonly undertaken!
(note: planning to sit CFA I next June)

@2014-07-13 09:35:21		 I've been involved with the energy sector for almost 10 years. I would go energy...the complexity of the sector is unbelievable, and while it may not be as hot in 10 years as it is right now, the challenging of mastering the industry (in which I include oil, gas, power) will keep you occupied for years (and paid well).
