I think level II is substantially harder than level I. so i m in doubt if i will be able to clear level II with just 4 months of prep. but i would assume that if we can give around 10-15 hours per week and than increase it to 20 -25 hours per week in last month than we can for sure do it. I mean given the success rate of around 50% in level II we stand very good chance if we just give in enough time. the reason is that we are not only counting on our efforts but also counting on the fact that others wont be able to give enough time. I mean that's the way i looked at level I and it gave me good confidence. |

What's the harm in trying? I knew of so many people registered for the June exam and then deferred until December - all I can say is chicken shit. Why the hell not try for any exam. There are only two outcomes. For those that don't try, there is only one. |

I didn't want only 4 months to study. The day I took Level 1 I ordered Level 2 study materials. I bought this site and Scheweser notes. Figured worst case I'm out around $500, best case, I am 2 months ahead of the curve. |

Level II is pretty comprehensive and touches upon a lot of new topic areas. Ideally four months should be sufficient with around 15-20 hrs per week. Additionally instead of going for CFA study material entirely, you can partly cover certain chapters through other course provide materials which will be useful to save time. |
