I am an MBA(finance)grad who has been working in the P&C insurance industry for five years. I am interested in the investment banking/venture capitalist/portfolio management fields, but am not sure of the best way to make the move. I earn a good salary now. Any suggestions on how to switch industries without suffering a pay cut. Does obtaining the CFA designation have any guarantees(monetary or otherwise?) |

I am in Securities business. The pyramid is very stiff. At the bottom, you earn about $11 an hour. Mid level, have to work very hard to earn your current salary (I don't know how much.) At the top, you own equity, not cash. |

I passed! I did not get a chance to tell you before the exam - but your site was excellent. I will definitely take it next year for Level II.
