My original study approach was to read all of the CFA books and then come back around and do the review questions at the end of each chapter.

However, I ran out of time and was only able to make it through the reading (all 2700 pages!). A friend told me about Analyst Notes so I started using the site for practice questions and review, albeit a week before the exam. I really wish I had started using this site about 6 weeks prior to the exam and did a lot more practice questions / exams.

My question to those who took level 1 - do you feel using AnalystNotes alone prepared you, or did the exam include detailed questions from the CFA reading that were not covered by the Notes (even so, could you have known 80% of the answers)?

Would really like to get some opinions as reading all of the CFA books takes a lot of time, and by the time you have finished the books, its easy to have forgotten the detail from the first books you read.

Final observation, some of the exam questions seemed very tricky.

I was very pleased with your notes and question bank. I especially like the mock exams because it helped to pull everything together.
