I am planning for CFA from last 2 year but always drop the thought because of timing issues . I work for a 9 hour day job in Gurgaon along with I spend 3 hours of traveling on a daily basis also I get only one day off. I am planning to enroll for Dec 19, Need some advise on timing management? |

I'll be honest: is not going to be easy, but it can be done, here you have some tips: Basically you have only the nights during the week, and one complete day on weekends. Could you study two hours a day and 8 hours on weekend? (Try to have one day off) You may have to sacrifice some sleep time, but not too much, try to get that balance. Start early and focus on practice, don't spend too much time memorizing things, but do exercises. Learn through practice, specially mock exams. (Of course that at some time you'll have to memorize some concepts and formulas, but not at the beginning) Don't use the official curriculum, is too long. Instead get the materials from, let's say, Schweseror AnalystNotes. You can buy books, exercises database, mock exams and also video classes (you may watch them in your traveling home/work if you go by bus or train) Try to find a partner, physically or online, someone that can help you out (and vice versa) Commit to the program, if you have to study, don't do it while watching tv I hope it helps. |

I am happy to say that I passed! Your study notes certainly helped prepare me for what was the most difficult exam I had ever taken.
