Hello, may i ask if just using the study notes enough to prepare for level 1?
if not, which text book is must buy in addition to the study notes? for your ref, my background is industrial engineering and I am now taking a MBA. i have some basic account/finance knowledge. is half year enough for me to prepare for level 1? rgds, twadam |

Depends on your knowledge level I'd suppose.
I bought this site's notes and all the books for LI last year and was glad to have the texts for early studying before the notes came out. The texts were (and will be for LII) very helpful. I suggest the Quant book, Fixed income text and perhaps the accounting text at the very least. The accounting text can help to clarify points. I would not get the instructor's manuals. Furthermore, it is nice to have another reference source. This board helps too! Good luck.;-) |

I just wanted to share the good news that I passed CFA Level I!!! Thank you for your help - I think the online question bank helped cut the clutter and made a positive difference.
